Guess who’s missing out?
A grinning man in a flat cap and orange scarf raising a coffee over a bag of croissants
Not him.

The high street is having a sale. Nobody told you.

We are rolling out town by town. Join now and you will be first in line when we reach yours.

These are made up. Dave is real in spirit.

Loaves on old wooden shelves

Bakery, for example

Dave overbaked

Again. Nobody is surprised and nobody is complaining.

An empty black leather barber's chair

Barber, for example

50% off a cut at 3:10pm

Somebody has clearly had a better offer.

A bouquet of roses wrapped in brown paper on a florist's counter

Florist, for example

Roses, heavily reduced

They were not collected. We are choosing not to think about why.

Cod and chips with mushy peas and a lemon wedge

Chippy, for example

2 for 1 on cod and chips

The fryer is on. The queue is not.

A laid restaurant table for three by a window

Restaurant, for example

A table for three at 7pm

A booking cancelled. The chef has taken it personally.

Why we exist

Every high street has a Dave. He is the baker that bakes too much, the barber that has a gap at ten past three, and the florist who is holding roses nobody came back for. They would all rather sell it cheap than bin it. They just have no way of telling you in time. So we are building one.

What it will look like

Someone just overbaked. Your phone hears about it first.

When NearBuyNow reaches your town, deals arrive as a notification from the NearBuyNow app, on iPhone and Android. You choose which kinds of business you hear from, and how many you get.

We text you the link to the app when we go live where you are. Until then there is nothing to download, and nothing to do.

  • Only the businesses you pick
  • As many or as few as you like
  • Nothing between 9pm and 8am

I needed a haircut.

Nothing after 9pm. Everybody needs their sleep.

Going, going, Gone!

A last minute deal lasts about as long as it takes to walk there. Here is how a Saturday goes when you are not on the list.

Examples. Not real deals, yet.

  1. 1

    Join the waiting list.

Free to join. Businesses pay to post deals. You never pay anything.

  2. 2

A text now, the app later.

The first text confirms your place on the list. The next comes when we go live where you are, with a link to download the app. The deals themselves come through the app, where you choose which ones you want and when.

  3. 3

    Then the good bit.

Sit tight. Your local deals will come to you.

Thirty seconds now. First to know later.

We timed it. Twice.

Wherever you live, put your name down now and you will be at the front of the queue when we get there.

Free, alwaysNo deals by textReply STOP any time

We use your number to text you about joining: a text now to confirm you are on the list, then a text with a link to the app when we go live where you are, and up to two reminders a month apart if you have not joined by then. No deals by text. Your number is never sold, and shared only with our provider that sends the text. We keep your postcode so we know when we have reached you. Reply STOP to any text and you will not hear from us again.
